Warm, cheesy, and packed with savoury bacon flavour, this Homemade Cheese & Bacon Roll is the ultimate comfort snack. It’s quick and easy to make, perfect for breakfast, lunch, or an afternoon treat.

Ingredients

  • 40g Self-Raising Flour
  • 50g Light Natural Yoghurt
  • 15g Light Grated Cheese
  • 25g Diced Bacon

Method

  1. Prepare the Oven & Bacon: Preheat the oven to 200°C and line a baking tray with baking paper. Cook the diced bacon in a frying pan over medium heat until crispy. Set aside to cool.
  2. Make the Dough: In a bowl, combine 38g of sifted self-raising flour (reserve 2g) and the yoghurt. Mix until the dough forms, then knead it on a floured surface until smooth, using the reserved flour to prevent sticking.
  3. Shape the Roll: Roll the dough into a ball and place it on the prepared baking tray. Flatten it slightly with your hand.
  4. Add the Toppings: Sprinkle the grated cheese and crispy bacon on top of the dough.
  5. Bake: Place in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes or until the roll is golden brown and cooked through.
