Table of Contents
Ingredients
200g Plain White Flour
65g Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
80mL Maple Syrup
40g Brown sugar
100g Milk Choc Chips
10mL Vanilla Essence
40g Unsalted Butter
3 Eggs
3 Medium Banana
10g Ground Cinnamon
Method
- Preheat the Oven:
Set your oven to 180ºC and line a brownie tin with baking paper.
2. Prepare the Banana Bread Batter:
In a bowl, combine the flour, maple syrup, brown sugar, mashed bananas, vanilla essence, ground cinnamon, melted butter, and 1 egg. Mix well until smooth.
3. Prepare the Brownie Batter:
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, maple syrup, brown sugar, chocolate chips, vanilla essence, melted butter, and 2 eggs until fully combined.
4. Layer and Swirl:
Pour the banana bread batter into the prepared tin, spreading it evenly.
Gently pour the brownie batter on top. Use a skewer to swirl the two batters together, creating a marbled effect.
5. Bake:
Place the tin in the oven and bake for 30-40 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a skewer into the centre; it should come out mostly clean for a cakier texture or slightly moist for a fudgy result.
6. Cool and Serve:
Allow the brownies to cool in the tin for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Once cooled, cut into 24 squares and enjoy!
