What is the challenge?
The challenge is an 8-week weight loss program designed by expert nutritionists to help you see results without cutting out entire food groups or following extremes. It includes weekly macro-friendly meal plans, in-app accountability, WhatsApp, and access to the equ app — giving you structure, motivation and the tools to stay on track.
When does the challenge start?
The challenge runs from Monday 6 October to Sunday 30 November, 2025. The last day to sign up is Sunday 5 October, but spots are limited, so don’t leave it too late!
Why is there a cost to join the challenge?
This is our biggest and best challenge yet - with more value, structure, support and accountability than ever before. It includes a prize pool, exclusive resources, weekly check-ins, app tracking, live support and a new eBook. While existing members already have access to the app, this challenge is a separate experience that requires additional time, tools, and resources - which is why there is a small fee to join.
Will I need to go to the gym?
No. This challenge is nutrition-first. Everything is built around food: learning how to eat in a calorie deficit, planning ahead, and staying consistent. If you train, the meal plans will help fuel your workouts. But if not? You’ll still get results without setting foot in a gym.
What kind of food will I be eating?
You’ll get weekly macro-friendly meal plans designed for real life — think burgers, curries, wraps, pasta, and more. The meals are quick, satisfying, and family-friendly. You can also customise your plan inside the equ app based on your preferences, goals, and dietary needs.
I’ve tried other challenges and couldn’t stick to them. How is this different?

This means you’re in control of how fast you want to go, with options to suit your lifestyle. No matter the pace, our approach is built on long-term success, not quick fixes, so you can keep the results well beyond the challenge.
Does the challenge require a big time commitment?
Not at all. The weekly plans and in-app support are designed to make your life easier, not busier.

What if I have dietary requirements or allergies?
You can tailor your meal plan using the equ app’s filters and food swap features. Whether you’re vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, or just a fussy eater - we’ve got plenty of options to make the challenge work for you.
Do I need to track calories?
We’ll show you how to stay in a calorie deficit using our pre-built plans - no need to log or track unless you want to. Our focus is on building habits, not just hitting numbers. That said, our app includes optional tracking tools for those who prefer more detail.
What happens after the 8 weeks?
You’ll finish the challenge with the tools, structure and confidence to keep going. Many members continue using the app for ongoing support, but there’s no pressure - this is about building long-term habits you can actually stick to. Our challenge exclusive eBook will also give you recipes to keep on rotation long after you’ve finished the challenge.
Is this suitable for breastfeeding or postpartum women?
Yes. Many equ members are mums in all stages of postpartum. Our app takes your calorie needs into account and prioritises balanced, sustainable nutrition. If you’re unsure, we always recommend checking with your healthcare provider before joining.
Can I do the challenge if I live outside Australia?
