Featuring interviews with the brightest minds in the field, the podcast caters to those looking to enhance their knowledge, optimise their health, and satisfy their curiosity about the fascinating world of nutrition.
Marrying Amal’s love of deep conversations with the science of diet and nutrition, Chew On This invites listeners to critically examine everything they know about food and nutrition as they delve into expert insights and practical advice.
“My latest venture aims to break down recent scientific research into easily digestible nuggets so that everyone can become more well informed about the ins and outs of what they eat, ” says Amal.
“Each episode will deliver a well-rounded perspective on nutrition and is packed with actionable tips for leading a healthier lifestyle. I am so excited to introduce listeners to our lineup of experts so they can learn about the latest trends and research in the field of nutrition.”
With research revealing unhealthy diets and obesity as leading contributors to poor health in Australia, Amal is mindful of the need for better education on what and how to eat for optimal health. According to the ABS less than 7% of Aussies consume a healthy diet consistent with the Australian Dietary Guidelines.
“The lack of food literacy has very real consequences on Australians’ health which is why I’m so passionate about equipping them with the tools and knowledge to make better choices about their health and nutrition,” says Amal.
“I hope the podcast is equal parts enlightening as it is empowering and listeners enjoy each episode as much as I enjoyed recording them.”
