How to make In-N-Out’s burger at home!

In the midst of the In-N-Out Burger pop up opening in Brisbane this week, and the hourlong lines that it attracted, CEO and Co-founder of equ Amal Wakim showed Karl Stefanovic and Sarah Abo how to make equ’s fakeaway In-N-Out burger, for a fraction of the cost and from the comfort of your own home.

Homemade In-N-Out Burger Recipe

Ingredients

150g Beef Mince

20ml Mayonnaise

10ml Tomato Sauce

10g Pickles

1 Brioche Bun

2 Jack Cheese Slices

20g Brown Onion

30g Sliced Tomato

20g Iceberg Lettuce

Method

  1. Season the mince with salt and pepper and form into a patty. Cook in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat until cooked to your liking. Toast the inside of the buns until golden.
  2. Meanwhile, finely chop half the pickles and add to a bowl with mayonnaise, tomato sauce and a dash of pickle juice. Mix to combine.
  3. Assemble the burger with the sauce, vegetables, meat and cheese.
